Welcoming CH-CH's New Faculty and Staff

As Chapel Hill-Chauncy Hall kicks-off the 2025-2026 school year, we are excited to welcome new members to our community. The new members of the faculty and staff have spent the beginning of the year in CH-CH's pre-sessions, meeting members of the community, and learning all about CH-CH's approach in and out of the classroom. We're excited to introduce you to CH-CH's newest faculty and staff:


 

Scott DeLaura, Math - With over 10 years of math teaching experience, most recently in special education at Framingham HS, Scott joins our 11th grade team and will teach Algebra II and Honors Algebra II with Trigonometry.  He will take over as the head coach of boys’ varsity soccer and wrestling.  A graduate of Franklin Pierce University with a BS in Mass Communication & Media Production, Scott also possesses a Master’s in Education from Concordia University.

 

Annie DiAdamo, English - Joining CH-CH for several months last year to cover a maternity leave, Annie returns as a full-time English and history teacher on the 10th grade team.  She will take over as the head girls’ varsity soccer coach this fall, as well as assist girls’ varsity tennis in the spring.  A graduate of UMass-Amherst (BA in English; minor in History), Annie is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in English from Middlebury’s highly regarded Bread Loaf School of English.  She brings teaching experience from both Nobles and Meadowbrook.

 

Jacquie Macdonald, English - A former CH-CH Sophomore Class Dean and English teacher, we enthusiastically welcome Jacquie back to the 10th grade team after a two-year hiatus.  She will teach two sections of 10th grade English, as well as two sections of AP English Literature.  Jacquie will assist varsity volleyball this fall and head coach girls’ varsity basketball in the winter.  She will be living in Worcester Hall this year.  A graduate of Milton Academy, Jacquie holds a BA cum laude in English, with a History minor, from Mount Holyoke College.

 

Anna Schulmeyer, Math - Relocating from Austin, Texas, Anna will join the 12th grade team as a math teacher.  She will be teaching Honors Pre-Calculus and Calculus 2.  In our co-curricular programs, Anna will assist the fall and spring drama productions.  She is a graduate of St. Edward’s University in Austin, earning a BA cum laude in Mathematics with a minor in Teacher Education.

 

Matt Spearing, Middle School STEM - Taking over as our math and science teacher in the Middle School, Matt joins us from St. John’s Prep in Danvers.  At SJP, Matt held a variety of roles, including the Director for Mission & Research for Environmental Sustainability, Freshman Life Coordinator, and Global Studies Teacher.  Previous to SJP, he was the Director of Student Activities, Director of DEIB, 10th Grade Class Dean, and AP Environmental Science teacher at Williston Northampton School.  Matt has a BA in Environmental Studies/Government from St. Lawrence University and an M.Ed. from Antioch University New England in Educating for Sustainability.

 

Mark Zocco, History - An experienced independent school humanities teacher, Mark joins the 10th grade team at CH-CH in the history department.  He will teach World Civ 2 and the Modern Global Issues senior elective.  Additionally, Mark will assist the girls’ varsity basketball team this winter, followed by coaching the baseball team in the spring.  He earned a BA in History with a European Concentration from University of Vermont before securing a Master’s degree in the Teaching of Social Studies Education from Columbia University’s Teacher College.

 

Additionally, we proudly introduce three Teaching Fellows and two Counseling Interns for the upcoming school year, as well as a new head varsity volleyball coach:

 

Cheyenne Bates, Middle School Arts - A 2016 CH-CH graduate, Cheyenne returns as a Middle School Teaching Fellow in Theater for the upcoming school year.  With recent teaching experience at Lexington Montessori School, Cheyenne is a 2020 graduate of Wheaton College where she earned a BA in Creative Writing & Theater.  She will assist all three theatrical productions at CH-CH during the upcoming school year, as well as live on campus in the Clark Farmhouse.

 

Brendan Deppen, Science - A 2025 graduate of Bowdoin College, Brendan will join the 10th grade team as a Teaching Fellow in Science.  Additionally, he will assist the boys’ varsity soccer, wrestling, and boys’ varsity tennis teams.  He, too, will live in the Clark Farmhouse.  At Bowdoin, this crew captain and outing club leader earned a BA in Mathematics with a minor in Earth and Oceanographic Sciences.

 

Dillon Stone, English - Joining us after his recent graduation from Brown University, Dillon will be a Teaching Fellow in English, join the 9th grade team, and live on the first floor of South Hall.  He will assist the boys’ junior varsity soccer and boys’ junior varsity basketball teams, as well as support the spring drama production.  A graduate of Northfield Mount Hermon School, Dillon earned a BA in English Literature & Africana Studies at Brown.

 

Kayla Fong, Counseling Intern - With degrees from Wellesley College (BA in Psychology and Latin American Studies) and Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health (MHS in Mental Health), Kayla is currently pursuing a PsyD in Clinical Psychology at William James College. Her focal areas are in global mental health, health psychology, and children and families of adversity and resilience.

 

Alice Musabe, Counseling Intern - Alice is currently pursuing a Master’s degree and licensure in Mental Health Counseling at Boston College.  She is a graduate of Wesleyan University (CT) with a BA in Neuroscience & Behavior.  Alice has held a variety of counseling, teacher, intern, and trainee positions throughout New England in a variety of settings.

 

 

Gabriel Morales, Volleyball - Joining our fall coaching staff, Gabe Morales will head up the girls’ varsity volleyball team, assisted by Jacquie Macdonald.  He brings a wealth of coaching experience from the Cambridge public schools, Excel Academy (Boston), and Chelsea HS.
