It's 1:15 p.m. and the arched ceiling of the Assembly Hall echoes with the laughter of students as they continue their conversations from lunch. The crowd becomes silent as the Head of School, Dr. Lance Conrad, approaches the podium and straightens the microphone. After giving a reminder to place phones on silent, Dr. Conrad introduces one of the most significant traditions at CH-CH with steady words, "And now, your Senior Presenter..."

Last fall proved to be the season of champions at Chapel Hill-Chauncy Hall School. The Varsity Volleyball and Cross Country teams both clenched league championships for the first time in school history.

On Wednesday, August 29, Chapel Hill-Chauncy Hall School broke ground on their $5.5M re-imagination of their historic building for the visual and performing arts, the Barn. As a result of CH-CH's Building Creativity Campaign, the School will add 9,000 square feet, including a new theater, new music classroom space, expanded state-of-the-art studio spaces, and a glass atrium gallery, creating a 22,000 square foot center for the arts.

On Saturday, June 2nd, Chapel Hill-Chauncy Hall School recognized the forty-one graduates of the Class of 2018 in its 190th commencement ceremony. Student speakers included Valedictorian Jiawen Li and Salutatorian Hangyu Li, each delivering an inspirational speech to their classmates.

On April 20th, students at Chapel Hill-Chauncy Hall School walked out of class to take a stand with the March for Our Lives and #NeverAgain movements. This student-led walkout was organized by Amy Russell ‘18, and it displayed the power and determination that these students have in changing the world.
